- Reads the day’s top posts from six subreddits: r/CryptoCurrency, r/Bitcoin, r/ethereum, r/solana, r/CryptoMarkets and r/defi.
- Sends one Telegram message at 11 AM and another at 3 PM, India time.
- Groups posts by subreddit, five per sub, each title a clickable link.
- Skips anything you already received, so the 3 PM message only shows new posts.

How the n8n Workflow Works
The crypto Reddit to Telegram workflow has seven nodes that run left to right. If this is your first build, my walkthrough of my first n8n workflow powered by a free AI API covers the basics first.
- Schedule Trigger: cron
0 11,15 * * *fires at 11:00 and 15:00. The workflow timezone is set to Asia/Kolkata. - Subreddit list (Code): joins your subreddits with a plus sign for the URL.
- Fetch RSS (HTTP Request): downloads the combined feed as text and retries up to three times.
- Parse posts (Code): pulls the title, link, subreddit and author out of the XML.
- Skip already sent (Remove Duplicates): remembers post IDs across runs.
- Format message (Code): groups by subreddit, keeps the top five, and splits the text if it passes Telegram’s 4096 character limit.
- Send to Telegram: posts the digest to your chat as HTML.
Build Your Crypto Reddit to Telegram Workflow in Five Steps
Step 1: Run n8n on Your Laptop
With Node.js installed, run this in your terminal, then open http://localhost:5678 and create your local account. The n8n npm install docs cover the other options.

- Message @BotFather on Telegram, send
/newbotand pick a name. Save the bot token and keep it private. - Open your new bot and press Start. Bots cannot message you first.
- Message @userinfobot to get your numeric chat ID. For a group or channel, add the bot there and use its ID, which starts with -100.
Step 3: Copy the Workflow Into n8n
Click the button below, open a blank workflow in n8n, click the canvas and press Cmd+V (Ctrl+V on Windows). All seven nodes appear, with sticky notes explaining each one.
Step 4: Connect Telegram
Open the Send to Telegram node. Under Credential, create a new one and paste your bot token. Then replace YOUR_CHAT_ID with your chat ID.
Step 5: Test It, Then Switch It On
Click Execute workflow. The digest should land in Telegram within about 30 seconds. Then flip the Active toggle in the top right. Run it twice in a row and the second run sends nothing. Not a bug. That is the repeat filter refusing to tell you the same news twice, which is more restraint than most crypto timelines manage.

Crypto Reddit to Telegram: Limits to Know
- Your laptop must be awake. n8n has to be running at 11 and 3. Missed runs are not replayed. For always on, use a small server or n8n Cloud.
- No upvote counts. RSS does not include scores. Posts still arrive in top order.
- Big subs can crowd out small ones. The combined feed ranks across all six, so a quiet sub like r/defi may only get one or two posts some days.
- Seeing 429? You probably clicked Execute like it owed you money. Wait a few minutes, and keep it personal and low volume.
