How to scrape data from the internet without any coding?
Recently my dad sent me a list of top stocks in India featured on 5Paisa. He just doesn’t like to manually copy-paste the whole thing. I mean, 100, 200, 1000 stocks to be manually copy-pasted would take a lot of time. Guess what? There is a simple and no-code solution to scrape any data and add it to your spreadsheet!
Below is a step-by-step tutorial For scraping data and adding it to a Google spreadsheet Or Microsoft Excel. First, you need to download the Web Scraper extension from Google or any other browser that you may be using.
Next, go on the extension and click on Web Scraper. But before you do that, make sure that you have the link from where you want to scrape the data. In my case, I need to scrape some stocks data from 5Paisa.
Open the extension and click on Start
Now click on Listing page
If your data does not have multipole pages then simply choose Infinite Scroll and click on Finish.
Now, click on Scrape this page
Next, click on csv to download the file.
Now open Google sheets and click on Blank spreadsheet.
Next click on the file drop down menu and Click “Import.”
Now click “Upload” and add your file, your CSV file that you just downloaded. You can drag and drop the file or add it manually.
Now you need to click on “Import data.”
And boom! Your data is now in the spreadsheet!
You can adjust and format the spreadsheet according to your needs or preferences.
